Sparks’ Two-Goal Performance Lifts Griffins to 3-2 Conference Victory Over Centenary

Hackettstown, N.J. – (10/28/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University (6-12, 4-3 AEC) wrapped up their 2026 season with a trip to Atlantic East Conference (AEC) foe Centenary University (N.J.) (2-13, 1-6 AEC). The team delivered an impressive offensive performance, using two goals from sophomore defender Addyson Sparks (Philadelphia, Pa.) and a second-half game-winner to secure a 3-2 AEC victory over the Cyclones. Junior midfielder Casey Thomas (Philadelphia, Pa.) added a first-half goal, while senior defender Jessica Parker (Philadelphia, Pa.) contributed two assists and junior midfielder Samantha Winco (Chalfont, Pa.) recorded an assist on the game-winning tally. The Griffins dominated the offensive opportunities throughout the contest, outshooting the Cyclones 26-8 while holding a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks.
