Doylestown, Pa. - (12/15/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University (3-7) hit the road against Delaware Valley University (3-5) for a non-conference bout. The Griffins led much of the contest before a late fourth-quarter surge by the Aggies resulted in a 64–54 decision at James Work Gymnasium. Senior forward Erin Eisenhart (Bethlehem, Pa.) did it all for the red and gold tonight, including playing all 40 minutes finishing with 11 points, a team-high seven rebounds, three assists, a block, and two steals on the night.
Griffin Highlights:
- Gwynedd Mercy set the tone early, shooting 53.8% in the first quarter and taking a 16–11 lead after 10 minutes. The Griffins extended their advantage in the second quarter behind efficient paint scoring from junior forward Azzy Crumpton (Conshohocken, Pa.) Eisenhart, carrying a 30–22 lead into halftime after holding Delaware Valley to just 29.4% shooting in the period.
- The Griffins continued to control the tempo in the third quarter, answering each Aggies run to maintain a 44–39 lead entering the final frame. Crumpton was a force inside, finishing with a team-high 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
- Sophomore guard Kailyn Bell (Ridley Park, Pa.) and junior guard Alyssa Cresto (Newark, Del.) each added ten points, providing steady backcourt production.
- Despite the final score, Gwynedd Mercy battled until the horn, forcing 17 turnovers and keeping the game within one possession as late as the six-minute mark.
- The Griffins finished the night with 28 points in the paint and five fast-break points.
Gwynedd Mercy University is back in action on Saturday, December 20, when the team travels to NCAA Division One opponent Bucknell University for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
