true Hackettstown, N.J. - (10/29/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University (7-10, 3-4) played its final regular season contest in 2025, traveling to Centenary University (N.J.) (3-11-3, 0-4-3) for an Atlantic East Conference (AEC) showdown. Junior forward Devario Gboho (Philadelphia, Pa.), freshman forward Jackson Stuetz (Willow Grove, Pa.), and junior midfielder Luke O'Donnell (Glenside, Pa.) each found the back of the net as the Griffins overcame a second-half deficit to claim their second straight conference win with a 3-2 victory.
Griffins Highlights:
- Centenary opened the scoring in the 16th minute (15:20). Gboho answered just over 15 minutes later (31:53), slotting home the equalizer in the 32nd minute to send the match into halftime tied at 1-1.
- After a penalty kick goal by Centenary in the 80th minute (79:37), Gwynedd Mercy responded immediately. Stuetz delivered the tying goal (2-2) just a minute later (80:39) off an assist from senior forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) to level the match again.
- The Griffins' pressure continued, and O'Donnell netted the game-winner in the 87th minute (86:47) on a setup from Gboho, sealing the 3–2 comeback.
- Senior goalkeeper Andrew Roberto (Churchville, Pa.) made five saves to secure the victory (6-4). Gwynedd Mercy outshot Centenary 15-14 and held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
Gwynedd Mercy University finishes the season 7-10 and 3-4 in AEC play and will travel to Saint Elizabeth University for the first round of the AEC Tournament with a start time to be determined.
