true Gwynedd Valley, Pa.- (10/18/25)- The Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins hosted the Neumann University Knights this afternoon in a tightly-contested an Atlantic East Conference (AEC) matchup, with the result of a 0-2 loss. The Red and Gold opened the day with honoring their senior players: goalkeeper Andrew Roberto (Churchville, Pa.), midfielder C.J. Clyde (Southampton, Pa.), midfielder Colin Heisler (Delran, N.J.), defender Colin Stocklin (Philadelphia, Pa.), defender Hagan Meyer (Warrington, Pa), Joe Deitzel (Lansdale, Pa.), forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.), and goalkeeper Joe Romano (Blue Bell, Pa.). Though Neumann dominated time of possession throughout the first half, Gwynedd Mercy's defensive was able to keep the score even in the first half of play. Both teams played with grit and six yellow cards were rewarded between the Griffins and the Knights. Gwynedd Mercy was unable to capitalize on their three shots on goal in the second half and the Neumann was able to shoot 14 times in the second half to secure the victory.

Despite the Griffins' consistent midfield and defensive play, the Knights were able to put their first goal in the back of the net in the second half [63:49]. They then pressed their advantage with a penalty kick just 9 minutes and 45 seconds later, scoring the final goal of the game.

Senior Andrew Roberto (Churchville, Pa.) had a busy day in goal with 11 saves.
