Alexa Ostoich took over as Gwynedd Mercy University's head field hockey coach prior to the 2023 season. As a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I student-athlete at Old Dominion University and coach with both Bucknell University (Spring 2021) and the University of Richmond (2022), she possesses a wealth of knowledge in her field.
With Bucknell University, Ostoich was part of the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Mideast Coaching Staff of the Year that led the Bisons to their first Patriot League Championship title and a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Elite 8 appearance. During her year at the University of Richmond, the Spiders battled for a 6-12 overall record and a 2-5 finish in the Atlantic 10. Prior to Bucknell University, Ostoich served as a USA Field Hockey Futures coach at her alma mater Old Dominion University (2020), the head field hockey coach at The Baldwin School (2020) in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as well as a U16 coach for Shock Field Hockey Club (2020) in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.
