Doylestown, Pa. (9/2/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University played their second game in two days, this time traveling to Delaware Valley University to take on the Aggies. An early goal from freshman forward Ksneia Semenovykh (Warrington, Pa.) (5:47) gave the Griffins an early 1-0 lead, but the offensive would stay quiet the rest of the game as the Aggies would go on to score five unanswered goals and walk away with a 5-1 victory.
Griffin Highlights:
- Semenovyh continues to impress early in her freshman campaign. She finished with a team-high three shots on goal bringing her total to ten in just two games.
- Delaware Valley led the shots on goal category 16-4, with junior midfielder Caroline Weir (Warminster, Pa.) being the only other Griffin to record a shot on goal.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.) started the first half for Gwynedd Mercy and finished with seven saves, while sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) started the second half and tallied four saves.
Gwynedd Mercy University looks to get back into the win column when they travel to Penn State Abington on Tuesday, September 5, for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff.
