Semenovykh Nets Fourth Goal Of The Season To Help Griffins Pick Up Second Win

Rosemont, Pa. - (9/13/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-2) traveled to Rosemont College (1-4) where freshman forward Ksenia Semenovykh (Warrington, Pa.) netted her fourth goal of the year within the final 10 minutes of the game (80:47) to allow the Griffins to sneak away with a 1-0 victory. 

Griffin Highlights:
  • Semenovykh not only scored the only goal of the game, but she also made a game-high six shots on the net as she continues to impress in her rookie campaign. 
  • Multiple Griffins had multiple shots on goals including freshman forward Demmi Fox (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) and sophomore forward captain Bethany Beinlich (Forksville, Pa.) who both recorded two shots on net. 
  • Gwynedd Mercy dominated the game offensively as they finished the shot category 21-4. 
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) started in net for the Griffins finishing with three saves earning her first career shutout. 
 
Gwynedd Mercy looks to keep the good times rolling as they travel to Lancaster Bible College next on Saturday, September 16, for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
