Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/10/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-0) played host to Penn State Berks (0-1) as both teams kicked off the annual Gwynedd Mercy Tip-Off Tournament. Right from the jump this game was all Griffins as they took the contest 91-33. Both senior guard Lynzie Eggers (Washington Township, N.J.) and sophomore guard Erin Eisenhart (Bethlem, Pa.) finished with a game-high 16 points each while the former finished with three rebounds and two assists and the later finishing with her first double-double of her collegiate career with ten rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks.
 
Griffins' Highlights:

• The Griffins forced the Nittany Lions into 25 turnovers leading to 35 points off turnovers. The team also finished with 16 steals allowing for Gwynedd Mercy to rack up 27 fast break points. 
• The Griffins put together a whole team effort as the bench for Gwynedd Mercy put up 44 points out of the 91 total points scored. 
• Graduate forward Sydney Kessleman (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with a career-high seven blocks in 18 minutes of game time. Kessleman also finished with five points, 11 rebounds, and a steal.

 
Gwynedd Mercy plays their second game of the Gwynedd Mercy Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday, November 11, when they host Penn State Abington for a 2:00 p.m. tipoff.
