Griffins Blanked By Pacers 3-0

Scranton, Pa. (10/18/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (7-4-3, 1-1-2) traveled to Atlantic East Conference (AEC) top-ranked foe Marywood University (7-5-2, 3-0-1) as the Griffins looked to inch closer to securing themselves a playoff berth, however, the game was dominated by the Pacers with a final score of 3-0. 
 
Griffin Highlights:
  • Gwynedd Mercy University's sophomore forward captain Bethany Beinlich (Forksville, Pa.) was the only player to register a shot for the Griffins as they were outshot 29-1. 
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.) garnered the start in the net for the Griffins finishing with eight saves and the loss (2-4-3). Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) started the second half and finished with three saves.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University looks to put this game behind them as they are back in action on Saturday, October 21 when they take on Neumann University for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
