Gwynedd Valley, Pa – (9/19/2022) – Gwynedd Mercy University and McDaniel College looked to beat the rain with an early start of this afternoon's affair. Unfortunately, the precipitation was unavoidable in an eventual 6-0 win for the Green Terror.
 
McDaniel College (6-1) scored their first goal against Gwynedd Mercy University (1-6) just past the eight-minute mark (1-0, 8:18) and added to their advantage twice before halftime with a well struck ball from the near flank at 15:39 (2-0) and a tic-tack-toe connection just before halftime; 3-0 (1:44). After intermission, the Griffins were able to play the ball more in the Green Terror end. But, a fourth McDaniel College tally at 59:07 (4-0), a fifth at 68:46 (5-0), and a sixth at 88:13 (6-0) put the contest out of reach.
 
Sophomore midfielder Kasey Wallace (Audubon, N.J.) took the only Gwynedd Mercy University shot as he sent one wide of the McDaniel College goal at 42:51. In goal, senior John Wagner (Phoenixville, Pa.) (0-5) matched his career-high with a dozen (12) saves.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to the Athletic Complex on Thursday, September 22, when they host Wilson College for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
