Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (9/10/2022) - FDU-Florham (2-2-1) scored four times in the first half (5:19, 19:17, 24:21, 38:09), leaving Gwynedd Mercy University searching for a comeback for the latter 45 minutes of today's affair; 4-0. The Griffins were unable to tally a score but fired five second-half shots, including offerings from senior midfielder Hugh Lynch (Philadelphia, Pa.) (46:13), freshman midfielder Josh Rossell (Mount Ephraim, N.J.) (49:24), graduate defenseman Kevin Hanuscin (Langhorne, Pa.) (62:47), junior defenseman Mert Yildirim (Levittown, Pa.) (86:01), and senior goalkeeper/forward John Wagner (Phoenixville, Pa.) (86:14).

Rossell was active and matched Lynch for a team-high two shots. Senior midfielder Tyler Bascone (Wenonah, N.J.) (7:28), senior forward Antonio Catanzariti (Blackwood, N.J.) (39:59), Rossell (40:59), and sophomore defenseman Mike McGlinn (Philadelphia, Pa.) (43:34) also took first-half strikes. In goal, Wagner and sophomore Shaine Kirby (Newtown, Pa.) split the 60 minutes; the former took the loss (0-3) and made four for the Griffins' five saves.

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to the Athletic Complex on Tuesday, September 13, when they host Penn State Abington for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
