Billy Collins (Hatfield, Pa.); the result was a four-run inning that propelled Gwynedd Mercy University (13-15, 6-5) for a 12-10 victory over Neumann University (8-16, 4-7). The Griffins were leading the second game of today's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) doubleheader by a 6-2 margin when it was called due to rain after the fifth inning. Mitchell Bramsway (Temecula, Calif.) recorded his second save (2) with a scoreless seventh inning (1.0 IP, 2 BB). Collins earned his first win (1-0) of the season in game two; he held the Knights to two runs on five hits and two walks in the first five innings, while striking out five.
Gwynedd Mercy University and Neumann University will continue the second game of today's AEC twin bill at a date and time yet to be determined. The Griffins are scheduled to play next on Thursday, April 21, when they visit Cairn University for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
