Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (3/25/2022) - Gwynedd Mercy University (0-4) hosted Penn State Abington (2-3) for this afternoon's match at the campus courts. The Nittany Lions got a jump start with the Griffins' default at number three doubles. They added to their lead with consecutive doubles wins in the first (8-1) and second (8-2) flights; sophomore Ian Gordynskiy (Quakertown, Pa.) and graduate Justin Collins (Springfield, Pa.) battled for the extra point in the second flight. Penn State Abington added to their advantage and won the match by a 9-0 margin with a sweep of singles play. The individual flights were respectively defended by senior Brian O'Driscoll (Newtown, Pa.) (#5; 6-0, 6-3), junior Christian Rice (#1; Quakertown, Pa.) (6-1, 6-1), Collins (#3; 6-0, 6-1), Gordynskiy (#2; 6-0, 6-2), and freshman Gustavo Bilbao (Madrid, Spain) (#4; 6-2, 6-4) 

Gwynedd Mercy University is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. match at Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, March 26.
