Hoats was nearly unstoppable in the first quarter as she added a fourth goal at 8:05 (4-1) and assisted Varilla on the Griffins' very next tally; 5-1 (7:11). Varilla made it 6-1 with her second score (6:43), leaving late tallies from Pelczar (7-2, 3:27) and Bernicker (8-2, 2:58) to land Gwynedd Mercy University their 8-2 halftime lead. Five straight second quarter scores gave the Griffins a running clock and a 13-2 lead with 4:22 remaining in the second quarter. Gwynedd Mercy University and Rutgers-Camden exchanged tallies to halftime, 14-3 (0:45), and for the first seven minutes of the third quarter, 15-5 (8:13), before a 4-2 final stretch that provided the Griffins the eventual 21-7 (1:09) victory.
