GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy and Cabrini combined for 41 hits but it was the Cavaliers winning a 28-13 offensive contest Thursday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
T.J. Brasier went 4-for-6 with three RBI's, two runs scored and two doubles while
Bobby Heck was 3-for-5 with three runs and a pair of RBI's.
For the Cavaliers, Earl Kochel IV drove in seven runs while going 4-for-5. Steven Priest was 3-for-5 with six RBI's as Cabrini totaled 11 extra-base hits.
The Griffins put together a little rally in the ninth, plating nine runs on eight hits. Brasier,
Frank Ebling, and
Jake Martell added RBI doubles while Heck tripled home two runs. The four hits for Brasier were a career high, while Heck moved up to fourth place on the all-time record list with his 12th career triple. Martell and
Will Brownlowe each added two hits.
The two teams will meet on Saturday in Radnor for a doubleheader starting at noon.
