GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Cairn spoiled Gwynedd Mercy's Senior Night plans with a 2-0 decision over the Griffins Tuesday evening to close out their truncated season.

After a scoreless first half, GMercyU saw the Highlanders take a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute. A free kick sent into the box was headed in by Josh Goodyear to get Cairn on the board.

Later in the 68th minute, Brandon Hasko took a feed from Hayden Phillips into the top of the box for a two-goal lead and the second assist for Phillips.

Tyler Blair played the first half in goal, recording two saves. John Wagner came on to start the second to also finish with two stops. Cairn's Kameron Clark registered one stop.

The game marked the end of the road for the team's eight seniors: Blair, Mike Czajka, Abdul Bangura, Brett Minnich, James Harte, Brandon Higgins, Ryan McCook, and Kevin Bowers. Prior to the contest, the eight along with their parents were honored by the coaching staff and players.
