MALVERN, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy squared off with Immaculata on the road but were handed a 13-3 defeat in a non-conference matchup Wednesday afternoon.
Shaun Thomas was 3-for-4 with a run scored a run knocked in. The three hits were a career high.

Will Brownlowe, and
T.J. Brasier each had two hits but the Griffins fell into an early hole.
Immaculata's R.J. Mason totaled six RBI's including a three-run triple as part of a five-run sixth inning. GMercyU got on the board in the top half of that inning as Thomas knocked in Brasier and would later come around to score on an error to cut the deficit to 6-2. IU answered with Mason's one-out bases loaded clearing three-bagger to open up their advantage.
Rookie
Mitchell Bramsway got the start and pitched into the third inning, allowing three earned runs on five hits with a walk and a strikeout. IU's Ryan Crowell tossed five scoreless innings, striking out eight Griffins while allowing six hits.
Gwynedd will get back at it on Saturday as they head to Montclair State for a pair of games beginning at 11 a.m.
