#3 Griffins Yield to #2 Cavaliers in AEC Semifinal

Radnor, Pa. - (11/3/2021) - Cabrini University (10-8) grabbed an early lead on Gwynedd Mercy University (6-14) in this afternoon's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Semifinal as sophomore midfielder Caroline Gallagher (Cape May Court House, N.J.) snuck the Cavaliers' first shot past freshman goalkeeper Morgan Lawless (Bristol, Pa.), 1-0 (4:22). Following the initial tally the Griffin defenses held, fending off Cabrini University until a second score in the closing minutes of a 2-0 (57:37) final. Cabrini University held a 15-0 advantage in shots and a 10-0 edge in penalty corner opportunities. Lawless (6-14) made two saves in the loss.

Gwynedd Mercy University finished 2021 at 6-14 overall and 3-2 in AEC play.
