Union, N.J. - (10/27/2021) - Despite a 25-2 shot advantage and a 19-1 edge in penalty corners, #5 Kean University (17-1) needed an extra frame to overcome Gwynedd Mercy University (5-13) in tonight's regular season finale. The Griffins fended off nearly every Cougar attempt but the last, which came at 64:35 on a connection between junior forward Peyton Mann (Nazareth, Pa.) and senior forward Ja'Carra Jackson (Magnolia, Del.).

Gwynedd Mercy University awaits seeding for the 2021 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Field Hockey Championship Tournament. The quarterfinals are scheduled for the home of the higher seed on Saturday, October 30.
