GALLOWAY, N.J. -- Stockton scored twice in the second half as Gwynedd Mercy came out on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision Wednesday night.
After a scoreless first half where the teams combined for six total shots and four corners, the Ospreys, who are receiving votes in the latest NFHCA Coaches Poll, scored the first goal of the contest with just 14 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Corinn Guilford knocked in a long pass from Casey Cordonna.
With just under 10 minutes in the fourth Cordonna set up Issy Gilhooey on a penalty corner to put Gwynedd in a two-goal deficit.
Griffin goalie
Abi Kennedy recorded four saves in net while Stockton's Emily Gilligan made three.
Gwynedd Mercy will play their fourth ranked opponent in a row when they travel to seventh-ranked Salisbury on Saturday.
