UNION, N.J. -- Gwynedd Mercy lost a 12-6 decision at Kean on Tuesday in non-conference action.

Leading 4-3 in the fifth, the Griffins saw the Cougars score four runs in the bottom half, three coming from a home run to put Kean ahead for good.

Dave Tatoian had three hits, two for doubles, scored twice and added an RBI and a walk. Ryan Keen went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Down 3-0 in the third, GMercyU plated three of their own thanks to RBI singles from Keen and Josh Lopez. Tatoian would score on a sac fly in the fifth to give Gwynedd its first lead.

Zachary Marzano's three-run homer in the fifth plus a three-spot in the sixth put the Griffins in a 10-4 deficit.

Gwynedd crossed two runs in the eighth off RBI base hits from Tatoian and Billy Collins.

The team gets right back at it tomorrow when they play at Alvernia starting at 3:30 p.m.
