GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy was dealt a 1-0 defeat to Marywood University on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action. The loss was the Griffins first conference regular season home defeat since 2013 and the first loss to the Pacers since 2008.

The Pacers would break a scoreless tie in the 3rd quarter in the 35th minute when Kenzie Drew scored on a loose ball in the crease off of a corner.

The Griffins would put pressure on Marywood in the third recording three shots but were unable to find the back of the cage for the equalizer.

Kerri Mountz recorded one stop for the shutout while counterpart Abi Kennedy made three saves for the home team.

Marywood held a 4-3 shot advantage and recorded eight corners to the Griffins four.
