GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Marymount posted an 87-43 decision over Gwynedd Mercy in an Atlantic East Conference matchup Wednesday night at The Griffin Complex.
Tolu Omole had eight points,
Sydney Thompson added seven as the Griffins were limited to 27% shooting on the night.
Denise Sacco hit two of the team's seven three-pointers while
Shannon Carroll was the top rebounder with six.
Gabby Haddad led the Saints with 17 points while adding six boards and four assists. Katie McShea kicked in 13 points and eight carom as four of the five starters reached double figures.
The Griffins went without a field goal the final four minutes of the first quarter which put them in a 25-5 deficit. Later in the second, a three-ball from
Lyndsay Micucci cut into the lead (34-19), but Marymount closed the half on a 10-0 run to take a commanding lead.
Thompson added five rebounds while Omole hit a personal high in scoring.
Gwynedd Mercy will look to get back at it on Saturday when they host Neumann as part of a conference doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
