RADNOR, PA. --
R.J. Boyle went a career-high eight innings, scattering four hits with one unearned run while
Dave Tatoian smacked a pair of home runs to help Gwynedd Mercy to a 13-1 win at Cabrini in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game on a chilly Tuesday.
Boyle fanned two and did not allow a walk while Tatoian was 3-for-4 with four RBI's and three runs scored.
Bobby Heck added a pair of doubles, knocking in two runs.
Justin Curtin, who is fresh off his 100th career hit on Saturday, tied a personal best with three walks and added a two-run double and a bases-loaded walk.
Heck's RBI double in the second put the Griffins ahead, 1-0. The Cavaliers countered with a run in the bottom half on an unearned run. A leadoff double was moved to third on a passed ball. Later in the inning, a groundout to third tied things up.
Tatoian hit a two-out solo shot in the third before Gwynedd plated five in the fourth, keyed by Curtin's two-run double. In the sixth, Tatoian struck again, this time a two-run shot again with two outs to make it 9-1.
Shane McGrody came on in the bottom of the ninth and got a 1-2-3 frame to close it out.
Mack McKisson had three of the four hits for the Cavaliers (13-14, 2-5 CSAC).
The teams will meet in Gwynedd Valley tomorrow starting at 3:30 p.m.
