COLLEGEVILLE, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy and Ursinus totaled 25 runs but the Griffins were the victims of a walk-off decision in a wild 13-12 score Thursday afternoon.
The Bears loaded the bases in the bottom half of the ninth with one out. With a drawn in infield, Gwynedd looked to turn an inning-ending double play but Ursinus' Carter Usowski beat the relay to first to allow the runner from third to score the game-winning run.

Shaughn Wright was 3-for-3 with three RBI's, two runs, a double, and a stolen base as the senior also notched his 100th career hit in the fourth inning.
Evan Miller went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI's for the Griffins (5-8).
Gwynedd got ahead early thanks to three walks, two hits and an error in the first to go up 4-0. Wright added a two-run double as part of another four-spot in the second to up the lead to 8-1.
Ursinus would cross four runs of their own in the fourth not before the Griffins countered with three in the fifth. Miller led off with a walk and later came around to score on a throwing error with two on. An RBI single from
Justin Curtin and later a sac fly off the bat of
Sachael Sciarretta back on top, 11-6.
After a run in the fifth, the Bears took the lead with a five-run sixth. A two-run homerun from Alex Mumme and a two-run double by Travis Kozak was part of the frame to put Ursinus up 12-11.
The Griffins got a run in the eighth thanks to a throwing error with two on. Wright scored from second off an errant throw on a grounder.
Starter
Mike Di Ianni threw five innings, yielding just three earned runs on seven hits, with one walk and four strikeouts.
Nick DeRitis and
Liam Sullivan also saw action on the mound before giving way to
George Stewart, who took the loss.
Usowski and Kozak each drove in three runs apiece for the Bears (5-8).
Gwynedd Mercy will get right back at it tomorrow with a matchup at Penn State-Abington in a 3:30 p.m. start.
