HAVERFORD, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy was edged out by Haverford, 10-7, Monday afternoon.
Dave Tatoian was 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, a triple, and two runs scored.
Ryan Keen was 1-for-3 with a double, two walks and a stolen base, but the Griffins saw the Fords score late runs in the seventh and eighth to take the lead.
Nick Mulvey walked three times to tie a career high.
Tatoian helped Gwynedd get on the board in the first with his two-out triple. He scored on a wild pitch for a 1-0 lead. Keen followed that up with a walk and then come home off a double from
Shaughn Wright for a two-run edge. Haverford cut into the lead with a run in the bottom half.
Two runs in the fourth and another in the fifth gave the Fords a 4-2 lead, but the Griffins countered with a five-spot in the sixth.
Justin Curtin's RBI triple and a two-run blast from Tatoian highlighted the frame to GMercyU back on top, 7-4. The home run was Tatoian's 12th career longball, moving him into a tie for sixth place in the program record books.

Mike Di Ianni allowed three runs on just two hits, with three strikeouts and three walks in four innings of work.
Gino Tripodi came on to start the fifth, but Haverford would get to him in the seventh as a two-run home run from Spencer Sohmer was part of a three-run inning to knot the contest up at 3-3.
In the eighth, Ben Furlong put Haverford ahead for good with an RBI single. Will Karp followed with a two-out, two-run single to stretch the deficit to three runs.
The Griffins (3-7) look to return to action on Wednesday against Swarthmore at home, but with inclement weather pending, stay tuned for scheduling updates.
