BALTIMORE, MD. -- Gwynedd Mercy fell 19-5 at nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins Tuesday afternoon.
Jason Mulvey was 3-for-4 with a solo home run while
Josh Lopez was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Brandon Gray added a two-run double but the Griffins faced an uphill climb after falling behind early.
The Blue Jays scored three unearned runs in the first. After an infield error with two outs, Chris Festa hit a two-run home run and later another run crossed on a wild pitch.
Alex Darwiche led off the third hitting the first of his three home runs on the day, totaling six RBIs.
Mulvey hit his third career homer to start the fourth to get the Griffins on the board. Later in the frame with runners on first and second, Lopez delivered an RBI single up the middle.
