CENTER VALLEY, PA. -- DeSales delivered a 79-51 defeat over Gwynedd Mercy Wednesday night in non-conference action.
Susan Bossler,
Shannon Carroll, and
Jill Kane led the Griffins with 10 points apiece. For Kane, the total was a career high.
Chyanne Fine pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and added six points, three steals and two blocks.
For the Bulldogs, Morgan Birmelin led all scorers with 21 points, as she was one of four players in double-figure scoring. Birmelin scored eight of the 15 points in the first quarter for DSU, as GMercyU totaled just two field goals in the frame. In the second, Gwynedd shot over 54% but could not dig out of the early deficit and trailed 38-22 at halftime.
The Griffins look to rebound on Saturday when they kick off Atlantic East Conference play as they welcome Cabrini to The Griffin Complex for a 1 p.m. start.
