LAKELAND, FL. --
Mike Di Ianni fanned six batters while allowing just one run on four hits and
Nick Mulvey went 3-for-4 with three RBI's and two runs to help lead Gwynedd Mercy to an 11-1 win over New Jersey City on Tuesday.
Di Ianni only walked one in seven innings as the game was halted after the bottom of the seventh.
An RBI double from
Dave Tatoian in the first and Mulvey's run-scoring single in the second put GMercyU ahead, 2-0. After an inning-ending double play in the third, Gwynedd then put five runs across in the fourth highlighted by Mulvey's two-run, bases loaded single.
It was more than enough for Di Ianni, who would retire the side in the sixth and seventh innings for his first win on the season.
Curtin finished 1-for-3 with two RBI's , two runs, and a walk.
Jason Mulvey scored twice and swiped two bases.
Gwynedd Mercy (3-2) take on Wentworth in a doubleheader on Wednesday.
