AUBURNDALE, FL. –  The Gwynedd Mercy University Baseball Team dropped their final game of their spring trip 13-2 to Ohio Northern University who is receiving votes in the D3baseball.com top 25 poll.

The Griffins struck early in the first inning when Dave Tatoian drove in Jason Mulvey who singled to open up the inning.

Gwynedd held the 1-0 lead into the top of the third when the Polar Bears scored nine runs on eight hits in the top of the frame to break the game open.GMercyU was unable to recover from the third inning as Ohio Northern would tack on a pair of runs in both the fifth and seventh innings.

In the home half of the seventh Bobby Heck drove in Nick Joyce on his RBI double.

Brandon Kasberg was 3-for-4 with four RBI's while Phil Buckingham drove in five runs for the Polar Bears (5-3)

Gwynedd (4-4) will return back to action on Wednesday when they travel to Delaware Valley University. First pitch is 3:30 p.m.
