SCRANTON, PA. -- Marywood defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 17-5, in the first-round of the CSAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, knocking out the sixth-seeded Griffins.
Senior
Danae Perrymond would hit a personal milestone as her four goals on the day gave her an even 100 career tallies as a Griffin. Perrymond also added six groundballs, six draw controls and three caused turnovers all of which were team highs.
She would get hit the century mark at the 2:30 of the first half off an assist from
Brianna Greer. Her fourth goal of the half made it an 8-4 Pacer lead at the break.
Marywood would score the next seven goals to open the second to pull away from GMercyU.
Sam Bussinelli led the Pacers with six goals and eight points. Ashley Valway added four while Natalie Burke dished out a game-high five assists.
Carrie Kilgore added the other tally for the Griffins. Greer would register two assists, two groundballs, and two caused turnovers.

Bria Gillard recorded eight stops for the Griffins. Lauren Smith made 10 for Marywood (8-9).
Gwynedd Mercy finishes the 2016 season with a final record of 4-12.
