LAPLUME, PA. -- A pair of seniors picked their right moment to shine as both score their first career goals in Gwynedd Mercy's 2-1 win at Keystone.
The Giants would draw first blood, on a goal from Kouassi Kouadio in the 14th minute for the 1-0 lead.
Adam Stangler would answer for the Griffins (9-8, 5-2 CSAC) right before the half taking advantage of a goalie misplay in the box.
Hunter Bishop would break the 1-1 tie late in the contest, by netting his first tally with 5:32 left in regulation which was the difference.
Goalie
Ryan Oyola also had a big day, making 12 stops in net to help cement the win.
Gwynedd was outshot, 26-6, and at an 8-1 corner kick disadvantage, but Oyola and the defense did not break to help give GMercyU its fifth conference win.
The Griffins travel to Neumann on Tuesday and with a win or tie, can lock up a playoff spot for the second time in three years.
