CHESTER, PA. -- The Griffins were back it at over the weekend at 2015 Widener University Invitational.

Senior Christina Smith (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) bettered her personal record in the 800 meters, as she was first in the event in a time of 2:17.22. Here are some other highlights from the weekend:

Women
100 meters - Junior Zakiyyah Richardson (Morrisville, Pa./Pennsbury) was third in the event, stopping the clock at 12.69. Sophomore Cierra Adkins (Philadelphia, Pa./Hallahan) was 21st (13.64).

200 meters - Richardson returned to the track to finish second in a time of 25.84.

Shot Put - Senior AnaLee Rodriguez (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) was 11th in the shot with a final mark of 9.70 meters (31'-10").

800 meters -Smith broke her own PR and bettered her ECAC Qualifying time. She now ranks 61st in Division III.

Men
1500 meters - Freshman Matt Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) was 15th, clocking in with a new PR of 4:04.20.

100 meters - Junior Bobbie Stone (Philadelphia, Pa./West Catholic) finished 12th, timing in at 11.38. Sophomore Ben Keliojor (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) was 28th in a time of 11.77.

400 meters - Senior Craig Gonzaga (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) came in at 54.08, placing him 31st.
Long Jump - Freshman Byron Coleman (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) was sixth, with his best jump at 6.47 meters (21'-02").

Select individuals will be heading to historic Franklin Field this weekend for the Penn Relays. On Saturday, the rest of the team will head to Shippensburg for the Paul Kaiser Classic.
