WASHINGTON -- Host Catholic defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 77-39, Wednesday afternoon at the Fairfield Inn D.C. Holiday Classic in the Nation's Capital.
The Griffins (8-3) had two players hit double figures as senior
Olivia Bradford and junior
Charlotte Kucowski each scored 11 points respectively. Bradford added a game-high nine rebounds and Kucowski, for her play in yesterday's game, was selected to the all-tournament team.
Payton Smith led the Cardinals (6-5) with 11 points as CUA led from start to finish.
Gwynedd, who shot just 12-of-55 (21%) from the floor, committed 39 turnovers, which led to 31 Catholic points.
The team returns home on Tuesday when they resume CSAC play against Neumann at 6 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men.
