ALLENTOWN, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy recorded its fourth-straight shutout victory and remained unbeaten in CSAC play with a 10-0 win at Cedar Crest on Thursday.
Sophomores
Brianna O'Connell (Berlin, N.J./Eastern) led the offense with a career-high four goals while
Abigail Gabriel (Telford, Pa./Souderton) added three more as a total of seven different players recorded at least one point in the victory.
Katie O'Neill (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) tied a personal-best with three assists as she and fellow senior
Megan Senkeleski (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank) and sophomore
Melissa Russo (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) also tallied goals for the Griffins (8-4, 4-0 CSAC).
Gwynedd held a 37-2 shooting advantage. Sophomore goalie
Samantha Soscia (Lambertville, N.J./South Hunterdon) made two stops for her fifth shutout on the season. Andi Dargis was credited with 10 saves for the Falcons (2-10, 1-1 CSAC).
The Griffins continue conference play when they host Cabrini here in a big CSAC clash starting at 3 p.m.
