The Griffins scored all three of their first-half goals in the first 15 minutes of play. Senior Casey Gaughan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Villa Joseph Marie) would get Griffins on board first after sinking a pass from junior Kerri Petroski (Philadelphia, Pa./ Little Flower). Not long after, freshman Meghan Petroski (Philadelphia, Pa./ Little Flower) found sophomore Ariety Fellenz (Jackson, N.J. / Jackson Liberty) in the box to put the Griffins up 2-0.
Baptist (1-6, 0-1 CSAC) would answer when sophomore Makenzi Kaiser hooked up with Emily Howell who put a shot just over the head of junior goalie Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./ Cherry Hill West).
Gaughan would score three goals on the day for her second hat-trick of the season and third of her career. Kerri Petroski would tally two assists, while Meghan would add two. Junior Theo Horozoglou (Holland, Pa. / Council Rock South) would also tally one goal.
Tadley would finish the day with four saves to clinch the win.
