OWINGS MILLS, MD. -- Three goals in the first 8:02 of the second half was too much to overcome as Gwynedd Mercy suffered a 4-1 loss at Stevenson on Saturday.

The Griffins only trailed, 1-0, at the half, but a flurry of goals, two from the Mustang's Denzel Seisay and Zach Martin's second tally of the game, proved to be the dagger.

Sophomore Danny Saba (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) would net the lone Griffin goal in the 79th minute.

Gwynedd (0-5) had just one shot in the second half to Stevenson's 14. Junior goalie Matt Chilcote (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) made seven saves in the loss. The Mustang's Ryan Callinan had one.

On Tuesday, the Griffins will host DeSales in the first of a five-game homestand. First touch is slated for 6 p.m.
