MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- Seven different players scored as Gwynedd Mercy got the season off on the right foot in a 10-1 win at Saint Elizabeth on Friday.

Senior Casey Gaughan (Philadelphia, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) had a personal-high seven points on her second career hat trick and an assist. Freshman Meghan Petroski (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) added two scores while Jessica Fath (Tremont, Pa./Pine Grove) and Anna Numerato (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) each tallied a goal and an assist.

It was the most goals in a game since a 9-0 win over Cedar Crest on September 25th, 2010.

Kerri Petroski (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower), Megan Gifford (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) and Theo Horozoglou (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) also scored for GM.

Saint Elizabeth got a late goal from Grace Bailey to break up the shutout.

Goalie Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) made two saves while seeing only four shots. As a team, the Griffins fired off 42 of their own.

Gwynedd Mercy will travel to Washington College on Sunday for a non-league matchup.
