ASTON, PA . -- The Gwynedd Mercy University Men's Soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss on the road at Neumann on Saturday.

The Knights (4-7-1, 4-0 CSAC) were able to tally goals in each stanza while the Griffins (3-10, 1-3 CSAC) were held scoreless for the fifth time this season.

Gwynedd was held to just two shots on the day.  Eric Smith (Deptford, N.J. / GCIT) was denied in the 82nd minute when his shot was saved by Neumann goalie Tim Glaccum to preserve the shutout for the Knights.

Neumann held a 14-2 shot advantage for the game and a 5-2 corners advantage.

Junior goalie Matt Chilcote (Carlisle, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) recorded seven saves on the day for the Griffins.

Gwynedd will return home on Thursday and will look to bounce back against Baptist Bible at 6 p.m. in Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup.
