GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy fell to Cabrini in its CSAC opener, 2-1, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Griffins (2-8, 0-1 CSAC) were entering the game winners of their last two contests and were playing the final contest of a five-game homestand.

A.J. Bishop scored twice for the Cavaliers (6-4, 2-0 CSAC). His first tally came in the 18th minute where the score stood late into the second half. Christian Martin made it 2-0 in the 83rd minute before Bishop's second almost five minutes later.

Sophomore goalie Ryan Oyola (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) registered a career-high seven saves. Cabrini keeper R.J. Pino made two. The Cavaliers outshot GM, 16-8, and had an 11-4 corner kick edge.

Gwynedd Mercy returns to action on Saturday when they head up to Keystone to face the Giants in conference action.
