DOYLESTOWN, PA. -- Delaware Valley's Julie Burnell made nine saves as the Aggies blanked Gwynedd-Mercy, 2-0, Tuesday afternoon.

The Griffins (0-2-1) outshot DVC, 14-9, but could not find the back of the net.

Goalie Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) notched two saves.

Del Val struck first in the game's first minute and would add a late goal right before the half for a two-goal lead at the break. Gwynedd recorded eight of their 14 shots in the second, but Burnell made six stops in the stanza to keep GM off the board.

Gwynedd-Mercy will host Muhlenburg on Saturday in the home opener in a 12 p.m. start.
