READING, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy was handed a 3-0 setback at Alvernia Tuesday evening.

The Griffins (0-2) had trouble generating the offense as the Crusaders outshot GM, 26-1.

Alvernia's T.J. Leiter notched a goal an assist as the Crusaders, who lead 1-0 at the half, scored twice in the first 2:28 of the second.

The goalie tandem of sophomore Greg Gengaro (Bloomsbury, N.J./Phillipsburg) and freshman Ryan Oyola (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) combined to make 12 saves.

Gwynedd-Mercy travels to New Jersey this weekend when they play in the Rowan University Invitational. GM takes on The College of New Jersey on Friday at 6 p.m. They'll then take on the host Profs on Saturday at 8 p.m.
