GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Centenary scored in the second half to go on and defeat Gwynedd Mercy, 1-0, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins (0-7-3, 0-1-2 CSAC) were held to just two shots, both coming in the second half. Sophomore goalie Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) made seven saves in net.

After a scoreless first half, Centenary's Samantha Sysak was able to beat Tadley on a header at the 61:12 mark with an assist from Amira Guerrero.

It was the fifth win in a row for Centenary (2-6-1, 2-1 CSAC) over Gwynedd.

Gwynedd Mercy will look to get back on track on Tuesday when Keystone visits in a CSAC clash starting at 4 p.m.
