CHESTER, PA. -- Senior forward Dan Panepresso (Philadelphia, Pa. / Archbishop Ryan) lifted Gwynedd Mercy to their third-straight victory Saturday with his overtime goal to defeat Widener, 1-0.

Sophomore keeper Greg Gengaro (Bloomsbury, N.J. / Phillipsburg) recorded six saves to preserve the shutout for the Griffins. His counterpart Jakub Valdner stopped three shots for the Pride.

Widener dominated the statistics outshooting the Griffins, 18-5, and held an 8-2 corner advantage but the Griffins would not quit, especially the defense that held strong as GM came away with the victory.

The overtime goal is the second of Panepresso's career. His first was against Centenary to lift the Griffins to a 3-2 victory to clinch a CSAC playoff spot in 2011.

Gwynedd will return home on Tuesday to host Stevenson. Kickoff is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
