GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Richard Stockton scored twice in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie to go on and defeat Gwynedd Mercy 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Dan Panepresso (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) put GM (0-5) on the board in the 11th minute with his second tally of the season. The senior forward took a through ball from freshman
Miles Kehs (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) and was able to tuck it under Osprey goalie Bobby Varga on the right side for an early lead.
But Stockton (4-1) would answer just over three minutes later when Anthony Colofranson set up Cristian Valencia to lock it up at 1-1.
After a GM goalie switch to start the second, Colofranson made it 2-1 as he was able to beat
Ryan Oyola (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) from inside the box at the 51:08 mark.
The Griffins looked to get back in it when in the 63rd minute, a scramble in the Osprey box got Varga out of position but a shot from
Ryan Moffatt (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) hit the left post.
Colofranson would have a hand in the insurance goal in the 81st minute, assisting on Dominic Nocito's tally.
RSC held a 9-4 shooting advantage in the first, but a 12-5 edge in the second.
Oyola finished with three saves while first half goalie, sophomore
Greg Gengaro (Bloomsbury, N.J./Phillipsburg) made two. Varga made three stops for Richard Stockton.
