GLENSIDE, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy fell behind early and could not catch up to Arcadia as the Knights handed the Griffins a 4-1 defeat on Tuesday night.
GM (0-4-1) saw Arcadia score twice in the game's first 10 minutes, both on goals from Kim Canfield.
Sara Nance (Lansdowne, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) would get the Griffins on the board three minutes after the Knights went up 3-0 for her first collegiate goal.
Arcadia (3-0-2) kept goalie
Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) busy, peppering the sophomore with 38 shots and a career-tying 12 saves.
The Griffins will host Alvernia on Saturday in a noon start.
