GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Neumann defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 1-0, on Tuesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

The Knights (4-7-1, 3-2-1 CSAC) scored the lone goal of the game in the first half on a breakaway by Jordyn Agresta at the 25:08 mark.

Gwynedd (0-9-3, 0-3-2 CSAC) would not go quietly playing a man up for the last four minutes of the contest when Neumann received a red card for a tackle outside of the box. Gwynedd was unable to capitalize on the advantage in the final minutes.

Sophomore Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill West) recorded five saves for the Griffins. Briana King and Alyson Hop made three saves to preserve the shutout for Neumann.

The Griffins return back to action on Saturday as they travel to Baptist Bible in a CSAC contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
