GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy and Marywood settled for a scoreless draw Tuesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. The Griffins have not alowed a goal in four-straight games and have held opponets scoreless for the last 444 minutes.
Sophomore Goalie Jess Tadley (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill West) recorded four saves for the fifteenth shutout of her career. Her counter part Victoria Pezdirtz stopped four shots as well.
Both teams played all four stanza's evenly. Marywood held a 14-12 shot advantage but the Griffins held a 6-2 corner advantage.
The Pacers best chance came at the foot of Kimberly Vogan late in the second half but tadley was able to stop her blast for eighteen yards out. The Griffins Alyssa Figueroa (Sewell, N.J. / Clearview) shot in the first overtime hit the crossbar and fell in the box but Pezdirtz turned away Victoria Dray (Staten Island, N.Y. / St. John Villa Academy) on her rebound opportunity.
The Griffins find themselves still in the mix for a CSAC playoff spot sitting four points behind the sixth seeded team. Gwynedd will look to gain three crucial points when they host first place Rosemont Saturday at 11 a.m.
