ALLENTOWN, PA. -- The Griffins bounced back Saturday afternoon with a 11-0 win over Cedar Crest in CSAC Field Hockey action.
Senior
Maria Karidas (Richboro, Pa. / Council Rock South) led the offensive outburst with five goals on the day also adding an assist as well.
Sophomores
Stephanie Bacho (Cinnaminson, N.J. / Holy Cross) and
Katie O'Neill (Newtown, Pa. / Council Rock North) both scored a pair of goals. O'Neill added two helpers and Bacho added one as well.
Katie Hickson (Harleysville, Pa. / Lansdale Catholic) and
Brittany Wilson (Huntingdon Valley, Pa. / Lower Moreland) rounded out the scoring for the Griffins (7-7, 3-1 CSAC). Hickson also recorded two assists.
Kelly Kruk (Phoenixville, Pa. / Methacton) recorded two saves for her fourth shutout on the year. Her counterpart, Kaitlyn Brendlinger, stopped 26 shots for the Falcons (0-14, 0-4 CSAC).
The Griffins return back to action on Tuesday as they host Neumann at 4 p.m. in a matchup of 3-1 teams. A win can help bolster a playoff spot.
