GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Rosemont scored twice in the game's first 11 minutes to go on and defeat Gwynedd-Mercy, 3-0, in CSAC action Saturday afternoon.

The loss is the third in a row for the Griffins (2-9, 1-2 CSAC), who were outshot, 15-8, on the day.

Ryan Harzell opened the scoring for the Ravens (4-4-1, 2-0 CSAC) at the 10:13 mark as his free kick from about 35 yards out got over the hands of GM goalie Matt Chilcote (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley). It became 2-0 just over a minute later when Patrick McElroy beat Chilcote with a shot just outside the box.

McElroy would add his second of the day in the 19th minute for a three-goal lead.

Freshman Greg Gengaro (Bloomsbury, N.J./Phillipsburg) replaced Chilcote in net to start the second half; each made two saves apiece.

Raven keeper Nick Hulayew notched five stops for the shutout.

Gwynedd-Mercy will look to bounce back when they host Cabrini on Wednesday night starting at 7 p.m.
